چکیده

This article describes uses of dependencies in tools to maintain big proofs in interactive proof assistants. The aim of this article is to describe the notion of dependency in proof assistants, how it can be used to design tools to maintain large proofs and how those tools could be integrated in proof environment.

in : User Interfaces for Theorem Provers ( UITP

In this paper we present a tool that uses the mouse to quicken some frequent operations on mathematical formulae. This tool uses a paradigm of object dragging to replace expressions by provably equivalent formulae, using a rewrite command. The paper also shows how the tool can be programmed to take new operators into account.

The Relationship Between the Scope of Essential Health Benefits and Statutory Financing: An International Comparison Across Eight European Countries

Background Both rising healthcare costs and the global financial crisis have fueled a search for policy tools in order to avoid unsustainable future financing of essential health benefits. The scope of essential health benefits (the range of services covered) and depth of coverage (the proportion of costs of the covered benefits that is covered publicly) are corresponding variables in determini...

How to Put Usability into Focus: Using Focus Groups to Evaluate the Usability of Interactive Theorem Provers

In recent years the effectiveness of interactive theorem provers has increased to an extent that the bottleneck in the interactive process shifted to efficiency: while in principle large and complex theorems are provable (effectiveness), it takes a lot of effort for the user interacting with the system (lack of efficiency). We conducted focus groups to evaluate the usability of Isabelle/HOL and...

Sustainability of Long-term Care: Puzzling Tasks Ahead for Policy-Makers

Background The sustainability of long-term care (LTC) is a prominent policy priority in many Western countries. LTC is one of the most pressing fiscal issues for the growing population of elderly people in the European Union (EU) Member States. Country recommendations regarding LTC are prominent under the EU’s European Semester.   Methods This paper examines challenges related to the financial-...

Interactive Theorem Proving: An Empirical Study of User Activity

In this paper the interaction between users and the interactive theorem prover HOL is investigated from a human-computer interaction perspective. First, we outline three possible views of interaction, and give a brief survey of some current interfaces and how they may be described in terms of these views. Second, we describe and present the results of an empirical study of intermediate and expe...
